1st Day Istanbul – Sevilla – Granada
Meeting at the Turkish Airlines counter in the International Departures terminal of Istanbul Airport 3 hours before the flight. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we will depart for Sevilla at 06:55 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1297. Upon arrival at 10:45 local time, our city tour of Sevilla begins. Sevilla is a city famous for its historical and cultural richness located in the Andalusia region of Spain. During our city tour in Sevilla, we will first visit Maria Luisa Park, which includes Plaza de Espana, Plaza America, the Sevilla Cathedral (the third largest cathedral in the world with the tomb of Cristof Columbus, viewed from outside), the Giralda Minaret, a remnant of the mosque built by the Umayyad Caliphate, and the Alcazar (viewed from outside), the palace of the Castilian kings. Later, we will pass through the Archive of the Indies, where records of all maritime journeys made to the Americas until the 19th century are kept, and reach the narrow old streets of the Santa Cruz neighborhood, known as "old" Sevilla. After concluding our walk, we will see the Torre del Oro (Golden Tower), which is an old tobacco factory and now serves as a maritime museum and is used as the central campus for the Sevilla University, before heading to Granada. Upon arrival, our city tour starts. Granada, a city full of history and culture located in the heart of the Andalusia region, is famous for its historical heritage, music, and dance, breathtaking views, and the Alhambra Palace. It is one of Spain's top tourist destinations, attracting millions of visitors every year. During our city tour here, we will see Gran Via Street, BibRambla, and the Town Hall Squares, the Granada Cathedral (viewed from outside), the first university of Granada, Madraza, the Silk Bazaar, and the old Nasrid Caravanserai. After the tour, guests can join the optional Grand Alhambra Palace Tour (80 Euro). The Alhambra Palace, one of Granada's greatest treasures, is one of the most stunning and impressive examples of Andalusian Islamic architecture. It is one of the most visited historical sites in Spain and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This iconic monument began construction in the 13th century on the Sabika hill, overlooking Granada, and was completed by the 15th century. It is called Alhambra, meaning "the red," due to the red earth used in its construction. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. In the evening, guests can join the optional Grand Neighborhoods (Albaicin and Sacromonte Gypsy District) tour (60 Euro). Albaicin is a historical and captivating neighborhood of Granada, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its narrow streets, whitewashed houses, and scenic hills. It bears traces of Andalusian Islamic culture and architecture and reflects the history of Granada. During our tour here, we will watch a Gypsy show and their way of life with a drink in hand at the entirely handmade caves. After the tour, we return to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
2nd Day Granada – Alicante – Valencia
After having breakfast at the hotel, we head towards Valencia. Along the way, interested guests can join the optional Grand City Alicante tour (40 Euro). Alicante is a historical and touristic city located on the Mediterranean coast in southeastern Spain. Known as an important settlement since ancient times, it was first established by the Iberians and then conquered by the Carthaginians and Romans. Known as "Lucentum" in Roman times, the area maintained great importance throughout the Middle Ages due to its strategic location. Under Muslim rule in the 9th century, Alicante witnessed significant cultural and economic development, with the construction of city walls and irrigation systems. After being conquered by the Castilians in the 13th century, the city came under Christian rule. Today, the most prominent historical symbol of Alicante is Santa Bárbara Castle, built by the Arabs in the 9th century and later expanded by Christians. The old city area (El Barrio), surrounded by historical buildings, still carries traces of the past with its narrow streets, churches, and traditional houses. Alongside this rich historical fabric, Alicante attracts thousands of tourists every year with its sunny climate, Golden Sand Beach (Playa del Postiguet), delicious Mediterranean cuisine, and colorful festivals. After the tour, we head to Valencia. Valencia is a city rich in history and modernity, located on the eastern coast of Spain, surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean. As the third largest city in Spain, Valencia draws visitors with its rich history, culture, and art. Upon arrival, we will embark on a city tour where we will see the City Hall, Gothic Cathedral, Arena, Arts and Sciences Museum, Historic Market (Mercado Central), and Old Silk Exchange. After the tour, transfer to our hotel, check into the rooms, and free time. Overnight at the hotel.
3rd Day Valencia – Barcelona
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will move towards Barcelona. Upon arrival, we will start our city tour. Barcelona, the second largest city in Spain and the vibrant capital of the Catalonia region, has gained worldwide recognition. This magnificent city, washed by the warm waters of the Mediterranean, offers a unique blend of history, art, culture, and entertainment. With its stunning architecture, colorful streets, delicious cuisine, and vibrant nightlife, Barcelona attracts millions of visitors each year. The city is like an open-air museum adorned with the unique works of Antoni Gaudi. During our city tour, we will visit La Sagrada Familia Church, the Columbus Monument, La Ramblas Street, Spain and Catalunya Squares, the Endülüs Arena, and the Olympic Port. After the tour, interested guests can join the optional Grand Poble Espanyol & Montjuic Hill tour (30 Euro). We will start this tour by exploring Poble Espanyol (Spanish Village), a collection of 117 buildings, streets, and squares created for the 1929 World Fair, which has become a must-visit spot for those visiting Barcelona. Here, you will see example constructions from all over Spain, walk through streets that reflect the architecture from different regions, visit various fascinating crafts workshops, and take a brief journey through all of Spain. Poble Espanyol also hosts artisans working in ceramics, glass, leather, jewelry, and other crafts. Afterwards, we will ascend Montjuic Hill, which offers much more than just panoramic views of Barcelona. This area has also undergone transformation by hosting significant events like the 1992 Olympic Games. After taking photo breaks, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
4th Day Barcelona
After having breakfast at the hotel, interested guests can join the optional Grand Northern Catalonia Jewels (Girona & Figueras & Dali Museum) tour (70 Euro). Our first stop will be Girona, a historical city located in northeastern Catalonia, about 100 kilometers north of Barcelona, famous for its narrow streets from the Middle Ages, historical buildings, museums, churches, and walls. During our tour here, we will see the Lion Statue, Cathedral Square, and the famous Jewish Quarter (El Call). Afterwards, we will head towards the city of Figueras, known as the birthplace of Salvador Dali. The city closely relates to the life and works of the famous Spanish painter Salvador Dali. The most important tourist attraction in Figueras is the Salvador Dali Museum. Dali established a museum here to leave something behind in the place where he was born and showcase his works. This museum, which has the largest collection of Dali, is considered Dali’s greatest work, as he designed all parts of it. The museum houses over 4,000 works created by Dali using different techniques. After the tour, we return to Barcelona. Interested guests may also join the optional Gaudi’s Magnificent Works (Park Guell) & Gothic Quarter tour (50 Euro). Our first stop will be Park Guell, one of Antoni Gaudi’s magnificent works, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This fairy tale park creates a whimsical atmosphere with its colorful stairs and dreamlike cottages. After seeing this magnificent piece of Gaudi, our second stop will be the Gothic Quarter. In the Gothic Quarter, you can feel the enchanting atmosphere of the Middle Ages with its narrow, maze-like streets, Gothic churches, romantic squares, and Roman walls, and admire the historical texture. The most important structures in the neighborhood include Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King Square), and La Rambla. After the tour, transfer to the hotel. 5th Day Barcelona – Zaragoza – Madrid
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will head to Madrid. Along the way, interested guests can join the optional Grand Zaragoza tour (30 Euro). Zaragoza is a historical and culturally rich city located on the banks of the Ebro River in northeastern Spain. As the capital of the Aragon Autonomous Community, Zaragoza stands out for its deep history. Its past dates back to the Roman era when it was called "Caesaraugusta" after Emperor Augustus. Remnants of Roman theaters, walls, and thermal baths still exist today. Zaragoza came under Muslim rule in the 8th century and was under the influence of Islamic culture for about 400 years. In 1118, Zaragoza was captured by Christians and became one of the important centers of the Aragon Kingdom. One of Zaragoza's most famous structures is the Basilica del Pilar, a Baroque masterpiece. This grand cathedral is considered the place where one of the first appearances of the Virgin Mary occurred in Spain and is an important stop for pilgrims. After the tour, we head to Madrid. Upon arrival, we will start our city tour. As the capital of Spain, Madrid is one of the most visited cities in Spain due to its rich historical and cultural heritage. During our city tour, we will first see the Bullfighting Arena (from outside), Alcalá Gate and Independence Square, Cibeles Monument, the famous Grand Via street, Bernabeu Stadium, Plaza Castilla, Atocha Train Station, the famous Prado Museum (from outside), the statues of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza at Plaza de España, and the Royal Palace (from outside), as well as the nine-gated Plaza Mayor and Sol Square. 6th Day Madrid – Toledo – Ecija
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Ecija in the Sevilla province. Along the way, interested guests can join the optional Grand Toledo Tour (70 Euro). Located about 70 kilometers from Madrid, Toledo is a city which has hosted various cultures of the Iberian Peninsula, including Roman, Visigoth, Muslim, and Christian civilizations, and is protected by UNESCO due to its historical significance. During our tour of this open-air museum city, we will see the oldest cathedral in Spain, Toledo Cathedral (from outside), churches converted from Andalusian mosques, and numerous other marvels in its historic narrow streets. After the tour, we will head to Ecija. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Ecija, a historical city in southern Spain located in the Andalusia region, is often called "The Peacock of Andalusia" or "The City of Towers" due to its rich Baroque architecture and magnificent historical structures. Known in Roman times as "Astigi," the city was an important center in the Hispania Ulterior region. During the Umayyad Caliphate period in Andalusia, it was also an important cultural and economic center. Nowadays, while walking through Écija's streets, you can feel a historical atmosphere filled with elegant palaces, churches, and tall bell towers from the Baroque period. The Santa María and San Juan churches, dating back to the 18th century, are among the finest examples of Baroque art. For travelers interested in history, art, and traditional Andalusian architecture, Ecija is like a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. While wandering its narrow streets, you can find traces from both the Roman and Islamic periods. After the tour, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
7th Day Ecija – Cordoba – Mijas – Malaga – Ecija
After having breakfast at the hotel, interested guests can join the optional Grand Cities (Cordoba & Mijas & Malaga) tour (140 Euro). Cordoba is a historical city located in the Andalusia region of Spain, known for its historical and cultural richness, impressive architecture, and structures reflecting Andalusian Islamic culture. After a 1.5-hour journey, we will first be greeted by the Guadalquivir River in Cordoba. We will walk over the historical Roman bridge and through the Roman gate to enter the city. We will witness the grandeur of the magnificent structure, the Great Mosque of Cordoba, which rises on 850 columns, during our guided visit. After our tour of the Mosque, we will continue walking to see the clean old streets, the traditional inn, and the houses of Cordoba that reflect the refinement of Andalusian architecture. After this tour, our second stop will be Mijas, a charming mountain town located in the Málaga province of southern Spain, particularly famous for its whitewashed houses. Close to the Costa del Sol coastline, Mijas stands out for both its sea view and historical texture. Mijas Pueblo, the historic part of the town, presents a postcard-like scene with its typical Andalusian architecture, narrow streets, flower-adorned balconies, and whitewashed houses. Although the town's roots extend back to Ancient Rome and even the Phoenicians, its current texture has largely been shaped during the Moorish period in Andalusia. One of the highlights of Mijas is the small bullring built on the hilltop and the remains of Mijas Castle. After the tour, our last stop will be Malaga, the birthplace of the famous painter Pablo Picasso. In our Malaga tour, we will see locations such as Paseo de Parque (Park Avenue), Plaza de la Merced, the Jewish Quarter, Constitution Square, Larios Street, Puerto Marina (Harbor), La Alcazaba, and Gibralfaro Castle. Following the tour, we will transfer back to our hotel in Ecija. Overnight at the hotel.
8th Day Ecija – Sevilla – Istanbul
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for the airport at the time designated by the guide. Following luggage, ticket, and passport paperwork, we will depart to Istanbul at 11:45 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1298. Arrival at 17:15 local time and the end of our tour.
