ISTANBUL – MADRID – (Toledo Tour) – GRANADA We meet at the Istanbul Airport International Terminal 3 hours before our flight for baggage check-in, ticket, and passport control procedures. Then we fly to Madrid on Turkish Airlines flight TK1857, departing at 07:00. We arrive in Madrid at 10:30 local time and board our vehicle waiting at the airport to head to the city center. Upon arrival in Madrid, we start our city tour. Madrid, the capital of Spain and the third largest city in the European Union, is considered the political, economic, and cultural center of the country. During our city tour, we will see places such as Plaza Mayor, Paseo de la Castellana, the bullfighting arena, Gran Via, Plaza de Espana, the Royal Palace, and Puerto de Alcala panoramically. After the city tour, we head towards Granada. On the way, guests who wish can join the optional Toledo Tour (50 Euro). Upon arrival in Toledo, we will organize our tour. Founded by Jews in 590 BC, Toledo is one of the most important historical and touristic cities in Spain, where people of the three major religions live peacefully together. It is also known as the "city of knights." The largest river in the Iberian Peninsula, the Tajo, runs through the city. The city was the capital of the Kingdom of Spain for a long time. Being one of the largest medieval cities in the world, it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is under protection. Cervantes, the author of Don Quixote, was born in this city. Among the places we will see during our tour are the Toledo Cathedral, which took approximately 270 years to build and is the 3rd most important cathedral in the world, San Martin Bridge, and workshops and shops where Damasquinos (Damascus work) and gold handcrafting are done. After our tour, we continue our journey to Granada. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Granada region, we check in and have free time to rest. GRANADA – (Alhambra Palace) – CORDOBA – (Córdoba Mosque & Cathedral Tour) – SEVILLE – (Flamenco Show) After breakfast and checking out from the hotel, we will organize our city tour in Granada. Granada, located at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, is one of the most touristic cities in Spain. Having been influenced mainly by Romans and Umayyads throughout its rich history, it is home to the Alhambra Palace. During our panoramic tour, we will see places like the statue of Queen Isabelle and Christopher Columbus, Grand Via, La Rambla, and the Town Hall in the historical Andalusian/Granada streets. After the city tour, we have free time. Guests who wish can join the optional Alhambra Palace Tour (65 Euro). We will visit the Alhambra Palace, which is one of the most extraordinary memories of not only Andalusia but also the entire Islamic history, known for its Moorish architecture, pools, and gardens, with the entrance fee included (subject to palace availability and excluding harems). After the tour, we will head to Cordoba. Guests who wish can join the Córdoba Mosque & Cathedral Tour (45 Euro). In this tour, we will visit the Córdoba Mosque & Cathedral with the entrance fee included. Besides being the 3rd largest mosque in Islamic history in terms of size, it is also one of the two greatest examples of Spain's Moorish past. The building, which has switched between Islam and Christianity for centuries, is now used as a Catholic church. Afterward, we will explore the historical city of Córdoba, which was founded during the Roman Empire and became the largest city in Europe under the Muslim state in the 10th century. During our panoramic city tour, we will see Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, the Royal Palace, and the Roman Bridge, which has a history of over 1000 years, among other places. After our visit to Córdoba, we will proceed to Seville. Upon arriving in Seville, we will have free time, and guests who wish can join the optional Flamenco Show (60 Euro). After the world-famous Flamenco show, which is known as the cry of the lower class to the upper class through dance, we will transfer to our hotel in the Seville region, check in, and have free time to rest. SEVILLE – (Sevilla Masterpieces Tour) – LISBON – (Lisbon Masterpieces Tour) After breakfast and checking out from the hotel, during the free time, guests who wish can join the optional Seville Masterpieces Tour (65 Euro). Seville, the most populous and advanced city in Andalusia, owes its exotic and rich cultural history to the period when it was ruled by North African Muslims, the Moors. We will carry out a panoramic city tour accompanied by magnificent and splendid cathedrals, squares, palaces, museums, towers, and churches. During our tour, we will see places like Plaza de Espana (Spain Square), where some scenes from Star Wars 2 were filmed, the polygonal Torre del Oro (Golden Tower), which was built for defense purposes but later used as a prison, the world’s 3rd largest Gothic cathedral, the Seville Cathedral, which has been on UNESCO’s World Heritage List since 1987, the Giralda Bell Tower, and Maria Luisa Park. After the Seville tour, we will head to Lisbon. Upon arrival in Lisbon, guests who wish can join the optional Lisbon Masterpieces Tour (55 Euro). Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, is also the 6th most visited city in Europe throughout the year. Governed by Phonecians, Romans, North African Muslims, and eventually by the Portuguese, Lisbon has historical significance dating back to the 1200s BC and hosts many historical monuments. During our tour in Lisbon, we will visit the historical part of the city, including Rossio Square and St. George’s Castle, which are the main sites to see. After the city tour, we will provide free time in the city center. As part of the continuation of our city tour, we will see Belem Tower and the Discoverers Monument, which were constructed during the Age of Discovery, and we will provide a short break for photo opportunities. Then we will explore Avenida de Liberdade, known as the Champs-Élysées of Lisbon, famous for its cafes, quality shops, and restaurants, allowing us to experience the city from different perspectives. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel in Lisbon, check in, and have free time to rest. LISBON – (Big Lisbon and Atlantic Coast Tour) – OBIDOS – PORTO – (Fado Show) After breakfast and checking out from the hotel, we will head to Obidos. Along the way, guests who wish can join the optional Big Lisbon and Atlantic Coast Tour (80 Euro). Our first stop on this tour will be the town of Sintra. Sintra will greet us with its boutique shops, colorful and ornate houses resembling castles, and cobblestone streets. However, the most important feature allowing the town to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List is its architectural monuments and buildings from the Romantic Period. After our visit to the palaces and churches lined streets in Sintra, our next stop will be Cabo da Roca, known as "The End of the World," and the westernmost point of the European continent. After a short break for photos of the famous beaches that are a hotspot for the ocean and surfers, we continue our panoramic tour of a fishing village, Cascais, known for its SPA and thermal hotels, as well as parks and golf courses. We will also explore Estoril, known as Lisbon’s backyard and famous for the Casino sections filmed in the first Bond novel, Casino Royal. After the tour, we continue our journey to Obidos. Surrounded by walls and characterized by its cobblestone streets, the medieval city of Obidos impresses visitors with its Renaissance, Baroque, and Gothic period architectural features. We will see the Roman-origin Obidos Castle, St. John Baptist Church, and Rua Direita, the main street that attracts the most visitors. After the Obidos tour, we head to Porto. Upon arrival in Porto, we will have a panoramic city tour where we will see the Dom Luis Bridge, designed by Gustave Eiffel, who gave his name to the Eiffel Tower, Douro River, Porto Ribeira, Porto and San Francisco Cathedrals, Porto Square and Lion Fountain, Freedom Square, and Sao Bento Train Station, known for its blue-and-white ceramic mosaics, and Bolsa Palace. After the city tour, we will have free time in the city center, and guests who wish can join the optional Fado Show (45 Euro). We will experience the Fado Show during which we will listen to emotional and sorrowful laments originating from the wives of sailors, which have made Fado music world-famous. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel, check in, and have free time to rest. PORTO – (Salamanca Tour) – SEGOVIA – MADRID After breakfast and checking out from the hotel, we will begin our journey towards Segovia. Along the way, guests who wish can join the optional Salamanca Tour (50 Euro). Salamanca, located on the banks of the Tormes River in northwest Spain, is home to the University of Salamanca, the first in Spain and the oldest in Europe, with its ancient historical richness dating from the Carthaginians to Romans. Combining its historical and cultural wealth, Salamanca was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1988. We will have a short free time in Plaza Mayor, one of Europe’s most beautiful squares, after our visit to the area. Then we will continue towards Segovia. Known for its historical heritage and designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985, Segovia is considered one of the most beautiful and special cities in Spain due to its narrow streets, historic squares, and magnificent monuments. The iconic Roman Aqueduct, which stands in the city center from the 2nd century, the elegant Segovia Cathedral, and the beautiful Segovia Castle (Alcazar de Segovia), which inspired the fairy tale castles, will be the main sights during our panoramic city tour. After the city tour and free time, we will head to our hotel in the Madrid region. Upon arrival at our hotel, we will check in and have free time to rest. MADRID – BARCELONA – (Barcelona’s Masterpieces Tour with High-Speed Train) – (Fiesta Barcelona Tour) After breakfast and checking out from the hotel, we will transfer to the region of Barcelona. Guests who wish can join the optional high-speed train journey for the Barcelona Masterpieces Tour (95 Euro). In this program, we will first travel from Madrid to Barcelona in a short 3-hour comfortable ride. Upon arrival at the train station in Barcelona, we will begin our tour accompanied by our guide. (This tour will be organized based on the sufficient number of participants; the tour guide will accompany those who purchased the High-Speed Train to Barcelona Masterpieces Tour and travel with them to Barcelona.) In the Barcelona Masterpieces Tour, we will visit Barcelona Cathedral, Paral-Lel and Gothic quarters, El Born, City Hall, Plaza Real, and La Boqueria market. After the Barcelona Masterpieces Tour, we will provide free time, and guests who wish can join the optional Fiesta Barcelona Tour (55 Euro). In this program, we will visit Poble Espanyol, an open-air museum and festival village concept created for the 1929 World Expo, which showcases typical architectural examples from different regions of Spain, craft workshops, artworks, and traditional cultural elements. Our visit to Poble Espanyol will be followed by the free time we provide afterwards. We will then return to our hotel in the Barcelona region, check in, and have free time to rest. BARCELONA – (Outlet Tour) – ISTANBUL After breakfast and checking out from the hotel, we will proceed to the airport for our flight to Istanbul. Guests who wish can join the optional Outlet Tour (25 Euro). We will visit an outlet center housing many prestigious brand shops, cafes, and restaurants, providing a delightful and affordable shopping experience. After our visit, we will continue our journey to the airport. We will arrive at the airport, complete our ticket, baggage check-in, and passport control procedures, and then fly to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK1856, departing at 18:35. We will arrive at Istanbul Airport at 23:05, concluding our tour.
